WHAT IS THE INTENDED USE FOR THIS STAFFING PROCESS?
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff identical or similar positions with various language requirements, operational requirements, conditions of employment and security requirements within Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Note: Asset experiences are not essential to be qualified in the pool however, they can be valuable depending on the hiring manager and on the position to be staffed.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
- You will need to submit an application.
- If successful, you will be asked to complete an online test. The online test will be broken up into sections and you must pass each individual section in order to be successful. If any section is failed, the test will automatically conclude and you will be screened out.
Depending on the needs of the hiring manager and of the position, you may be invited to an interview.

Moreover, prospective appointees who are Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) would be required to resign from the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants. Of note, a “leave of absence” from the College does not meet IRCC’s requirement in the matter.
In accordance with the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA), ALL candidates, including Persons with a Priority Entitlement, must meet all essential qualifications established in order to be considered qualified.
Volume management methods, such as random selection, may be used to manage the number of applicants considered for certain positions.
PREFERENCE
Preference will be given to veterans first, followed by Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of jobs located in Nunavut or Yukon. For positions located in Nunavut, qualified Inuit enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement will be appointed first. For positions located in Yukon, qualified Yukon First Nations will be appointed first, followed by qualified Indigenous persons.
